The hooded rash guard, cut for women who surf.

The Keramas is our women's UPF50+ hooded rash guard. Cropped, long-sleeved and cut for surfing, with a three-panel hood that covers your head and neck and a peak that shades your eyes and face.

Made for warm water, tropical surf trips, and long sessions in the sun. The Italian Hydra-Fit fabric is lightweight, quick drying, and made using ECONYL® regenerated nylon yarn.

Cropped at the waist with a secure elastic hem, it stays put through every duck dive. Gusseted underarms keep your paddle free, and flattering seamlines with textured contrast panels do the rest. Sun protective surfwear, but make it chic.

Layer it over the Malibu Swimsuit, or pair it with our UPF50+ Tracks Surf Legging or the Ensenada High Waisted Bikini Briefs.

    Questions, answered

How do I protect my face from the sun when surfing?

Sunscreen washes and rubs off over a long session. The Keramas hooded rashguard for women has a peaked hood that shades your eyes and face and covers your head and neck in UPF50+ fabric. We still recommend a water-resistant zinc sunscreen on your nose, cheeks and lips.

Does the hood stay on when you surf?

The hood fits snugly around the face, and stays on through most duck dives. The hood is part of the rash guard, so unlike a surf hat it can't float away in a wipeout.

Is a hooded rash guard better than a surf hat?

A surf hat relies on a chin strap and is one more thing to lose. The Keramas hood is attached, covers your neck as well as your head, and its peak shades your eyes like a cap.

Is it too hot for warm water or tropical surf trips?

No, it's made for them. It's a sun layer, not a wetsuit: the fabric is lightweight and quick drying, built for sun protection and not for insulation.

What do you wear with it?

The Keramas is cropped, so it layers cleanly over a one-piece like the Malibu Swimsuit. With the Tracks Surf Legging or the Ensenada High Waisted Bikini Briefs it shows a little midriff, so add sunscreen there.

    What does UPF50+ mean?

UPF50+ is the highest rating category for sun protective fabric. It means the fabric blocks at least 98% of UV rays.

    How does it fit?

Snugly, so it stays put in the surf. Size up for a little more room.
